Absofacto is a solo project by musician Jonathan Visger, a member of the band Mason Proper. In 2008, under his own name, Visger released his first solo effort North South, Pt. 1. He also released an EP called Trilobite Trash under the pseudonym Bug Lung Baby. In 2009, another solo EP was released called Tagalong this time under the moniker Absofacto. Visger has used Absofacto for all his solo musical projects since.
In 2017, Absofacto signed with Atlantic Records and released his major-label debut, an EP called Thousand Peaces. The song “Dissolve” (originally released in 2015) was included on the EP and released as a single in 2018. Unfortunately, it took an entire year before the single made an impact after trending on TikTok. In June of 2019, it debuted on the Billboard Alternative chart and took the number one spot in January of the following year.
Absofacto is currently working on new music and content.
