Incubus was formed by singer Brandon Boyd, lead guitarist Mike Einziger, and drummer José Pasillas in California in 1991 when they were still attending class at Calabasas High School. For a while, the band didn’t even have a name. They chose Incubus only when it was required for an upcoming show.
Fun Fact: Singer Brandon Boyd’s father, Chuck Boyd, is the Marlboro Man.
Fun Fact 2: S.C.I.E.N.C.E sold over 100,000 copies without radio or television support, which would certainly be impossible today.
Fun Fact 3: An Incubus is a male demon believed to have sexual intercourse with sleeping women.
