UPDATED AT 12:35 pm–The Green Bay School District will not conduct classes at Aldo Leopold Community School for the rest of the week. The school sustained some damage following a fire that started in the art rooms around 3:00 this (Tuesday) morning.
Classes will be moved to the U-W Green Bay campus until the school year ends on Friday. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No one was hurt.
GREEN BAY, Wis. — Fire damages a portion of a Green Bay school.
Crews were called to Aldo Leopold Community School shortly after 3 a.m. Tuesday to find flames coming from the art area.
The fire was contained in about 30 minutes. No one was hurt.
The amount of damage and cause of the fire are not yet known.
Classes at Aldo Leopold are canceled Tuesday. The Green Bay Area Public School District is working with the Green Bay Metro Fire Department to determine when the school is safe for students and staff to return.
This is the final week of classes in the district for the 2023-24 school year.
