After an onstage fight between guitarist Dave Navarro and singer Perry Farrell on Friday night in Boston. You can read more about that here. Janes Addiction has now canceled all remaining tour dates, including their show in Milwaukee at BMO Pavilion on Sunday, September 22nd. According to the band refunds are now available at the point of purchase. In a joint statement Dave, bassist Eric Avery and drummer Stephen Perkins said:
“We deeply regret that we are not able to come through for all our fans who have already bought tickets. We can see no solution that would either ensure a safe environment on stage or reliably allow us to deliver a great performance on a nightly basis.
“Our hearts are broken. Dave, Eric and Stephen”
This isn’t hugely surprising, after the fight Dave Navarro posted this to his Instagram, a post that simply said “Goodnight.”
Janes Addiction were on tour in support of their first new music in 20 years and first with the original lineup in 34 years, a song called “Imminent Redemption.” Redemption may be something singer Perry Ferrell is going to be looking for after all this. If you are a Janes Addiction fan the future does not look great.
