Imagine Dragons hails from Las Vegas, Nevada, and has released six studio albums since 2012. There were a few member changes before the band solidified their line-up and released their debut album Night Visions. Dan Reynolds (lead singer), Wayne Sermon (guitarist), Ben McKee (bassist), and Daniel Platzman (drummer) first gained exposure with the release of the song “It’s Time.” Their debut album resulted in mass appeal with the chart-topping singles “Radioactive” and “Demons”.
Their second studio album Smoke + Mirrors was released in 2015 and reached number one in the US, Canada, and the UK. Then came Imagine Dragon’s third studio album Evolve in 2017. Evolve resulted in three more chart-topping singles, “Believer”, “Thunder”, and “Whatever It Takes”. Their fourth studio album Origins was released in 2018 and features the single “Natural”, which was also a chart-topper. The fifth & sixth studio albums have been released in 2 parts. The first, Mercury – Act 1 was released on September 3, 2021, while the second Mercury – Act 2 came out on July 1, 2022.
Imagine Dragons have won more than a handful of awards including three American Music Awards, nine Billboard Music Awards, one Grammy Award, one MTV Video Music Award, and one World Music Award.

Fun Fact: The name Imagine Dragons is actually an anagram. While most people believe that it stands for “Ragged Insomnia” the band has never confirmed or publically announced what it means.
