Unclaimed Baggage – a company which collects luggage left at airports and repurposes its contents – recently released The Found Report, their annual listing of interesting finds.
Items listed in this year’s report include oddities such as an old book about exorcisms written in French, a freeze-dried chicken’s foot, a silicone pregnancy belly, a toilet brush resembling a cherry and a glass eye. There were historical items as well including a 1944 letter signed by Eleanor Roosevelt, a Turkish wedding headdress and a Tibetan singing bowl. Some pop culture items found include a mint-in-box “Weird Barbie” doll from the Barbie film and a movie script from the 80s film The Goonies.
Unclaimed Baggage has been collecting unclaimed luggage for over 50 years and redistributes the items found by either selling them, donating them to charity or recycling them.
